Delilah Pattern Tour
・

I was super excited to be invited to join the Delilah Pattern Tour today! Mostly because I totally need new shirts. Selfish? Um… yes. But darn it, this is a cute shirt!
I am totally in need of shirts that aren’t short and boxy and look like I bought them a decade ago. Because I did. So when Rachel offered the chance to join in and show off her Golden Rippy Delilah, I signed up super fast! I love the modern style of this tee. This is going to be the perfect Fall-Transitional tee for me to wear when the weather starts turning in a month and back to school rolls around. Did I just say Fall-Transitional? Ex-retail employee problems.
And it’s super simple! There are just the shoulder and side seams, then the bindings, so it goes together quickly. Which was great for me, because I made it yesterday! Seriously, I’m a slacker. I had all month, but it was a really busy month. And so I ended up with child iPhoneographers after I whipped it up. Here’s one of them during a break from shooting.
I decided to use this bit of fabric I used previously to make a dress. I knew I wanted to make a cool top with it that was totally different from the previous look, and this seemed perfect. The hem, neckline, and cuffs are upcycled conference freebie tee shirt. I chose to leave off either of the included embellishments, as I thought it would be too busy. Next time, my pretties.
I definitely already have plans to make another of these! Or two! Or more. I already know the next is going to be all kelly green knit with the longer sleeve and fluffy flowers. Perfect for Fall-Transitional.
You can get this pattern currently on sale too! It’s currently 25% off in Rachel’s shop. Or enter to win it below!
Rachel says about this pattern:
The DELILAH top is a fun beginner knit top with half sleeves or short sleeves built in. The arm and hip bands can be made in a contrasting fabric for more fun. The drop sleeves and roomy fit mean that it’s super comfortable! You can make a pretty bow or choose to add some flowers. Get ready to make a closet full of them!
And if your little girl wants to match mommy, you can make her the matching Dahlia top in her size.

Oh, me too! There’s another cotton woven print that’s really similar that I adore also. It is Alexander Henry called “In Crowd” and I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t singing that old song while sewing this.
